Firewise Program: Rivers Knoll HOA participates in Virginia Department of Forestry’s Firewise program which helps reimburse the HOA for some of our fire prevention work in the neighborhood. Bushmill Stream Natural Area: At the headwaters where Bushmill Stream meets tidal saltwater on the Great Wicomico River, a beautiful walking area with forest and tidal flats is a short drive from the Rivers Knoll subdivision. Reedville Fisherman’s Museum: Located in nearby Reedville, the fisherman’s museum is a very interesting mix of displays and exhibits, events and activities, tours, a model train workshop – even summer concerts and relaxing boat rides. http://www.rfmuseum.org/

Tangier Island: Step back in time to visit a quaint fishing and crabbing community on an island in the Chesapeake Bay. The island can be accessed by boat from the Great Wicomico River or local tour charter boats. Saltwater Tides Website and App: To find tidal information at Rivers Knoll Subdivision, choose Virginia and the “Chesapeake Bay, Western Shore, North of York River” region with the “Glebe Point, Great Wicomico River” location; then scroll to the bottom of the screen to fill in your month, day, and number of days and click “Get Tides”.
